Photo Friday: Lemon Pasta with a Side of Inspiration

It's been a busy week at work as we hustle to get the next issue to the printer, and I've been needing to draw energy from all sorts of places. Some things that have proven to be helpful on the motivation front included wearing a dress every single day this week (mostly spring dresses over long sleeve tops with tights and boots), eating a slice of cornbread with honey with lunch, and planning a trip to see some friends next weekend. But, the burst of energy that was unexpectedly helpful was stumbling across Rachel Eats, a most fantastic blog from Rachel who lives (and cooks!) in Rome. I am currently obsessed with her pasta photographs and am planning to eat this Pasta with Lemon and Parmesan as soon as I possibly can.

And on that note, have a happy weekend!

  1. i have had this post from Rachel Eats open on my browser since I discovered her via your ReadyMade post yesterday! And I am not closing the tab until I make this for lunch. Just need to scrounge up the right kind of pasta, since I'm sure this is most delicious with homemade, but that's not exactly in the schedule today! I mean, seriously, YUM.

  2. I would like to report back that I made it, or at least, a not-quite-Rome version of it (had to use farfalle and I added a little goat cheese because my supermarket parmesan was a tad bland).

And it was unbelievably fast, easy, and Delicious. This one is a keeper!

  3. I am totally making this with homemade pasta today (and will be putting lemon zest in my pasta dough for extra lemon flavor). Thank you for giving me another Sunday project so I can put off coding for a while!

Similar but with added egg yolks and heavy cream. Yum!

  5. Hmm. I am not a huge fan of the citrus infusion that everyone is so excited about recently...but i do LOVE me some pasta, and that picture looks yum-tastic...let me know how it turns out!

  6. I made a version of this last night (with arugula and broccoli) and it was delicious. The lemon was just the thing to balance out the veggies, especially the arugula, and the whole thing was extremely delicious. Give it a shot Katherine!
