Handmade Holidays: Fabric Garlands

I'm teaching a class tonight at Ephemera on creating fabric garlands out of things you have around your house. We'll be making them in a range of sizes, from large enough to hang on your mantle to small enough to use as decorative ribbon, so come on by from 7-9 if you're in town.

The ladies are offering a range of classes this holiday season (including paper wreaths, embroidery and knitting have been big successes), so make sure you check out the rest of their schedule. And if you aren't lucky enough to live nearby, check back next week so you can see the instructions for these (and probably a few pictures from the class!).

  1. Those are so fun! What a great idea. Anthropology had button ribbon last year at their gift wrap table, and I have been trying to think of a similar but less intense (all that button sewing!) alternative. Wish I was around to check out the class!

If you have anymore frugal holiday ideas I would love to do a feature on you!
